Idea

Idea development and assessment

Bring your product idea to us and we’ll work with you to evaluate it, conduct a feasibility study and develop a business case for investment.

Validation tools

  • PMI Value Matrix

This will identify the one-off costs of launching a business, e.g. premises and machinery

  • Business readiness

This assessment will establish the readiness level your idea or prototype product, by aligning it to the industry recognised technology and manufacturing readiness levels (TRL/MRL). Once established, we can analyse all aspects of your business and establish the path to take it forward.

Investment sources

Via the MTC community, we have excellent relationships with a range of willing investors, plus the capability of establishing investment relationships to progress your product development.

  • Innovate UK

Through our links, you have the opportunity to access government REACH funding on a ‘matched’ basis. REACH funding is provided without condition to all successful applications.

  • Private Equity and Business Angels

By establishing relationships with private investors, we can marry investors with your product idea at early TRL stages.

  • Venture capitalists

We can link you with approved venture capitalists, who may look to invest as your product idea matures or reaches full commercialisation.

Business and Technical mentorship

You will gain the benefit of having access to a council of experts tailored to your idea from a variety of both business and technical backgrounds.

I was very impressed with the whole experience working with Steve and Dave.
They came onsite, listened and then saw the problems we were having with our process. We explained how we wanted the process improved and they delivered with a number of solutions.
I cannot fault their commitment, brilliant work for the Brilliant Factories project.
