Digitalising Manufacturing 2017

Digitalising Manufacturing 2017

Driving competitiveness and productivity of UK industry through digitalisation

Digital Manufacturing is already here - but is your business ready to take full advantage and be at the forefront of this exciting new era?

This year's sell-out Digitalising Manufacturing Conference took place on 30th & 31st October 2017. Expanded to two days, the conference addressed international collaboration opportunities, national policy as well as practical knowledge to drive industrial digitalisation from within UK value chains. All the presentations from the conference are available in the Event Material section below.

There was a real buzz this year with many issues discussed and solutions put forward on how to meet the challenges of digitalising manufacturing, and it was great to see so many delegates looking to discuss the opportunities that industrial digitalisation holds.

With the launch of the Industrial Digitalisation Review - Made Smarter - led by Prof. Juergen Maier of Siemens, delegates found the conference a useful tool to support their digitalisation journey and a real catalyst to a successful digital future. Please click here to download a copy of the Made Smarter Review 2017.

We are currently planning next year's conference and expect to announce the date very soon. If you would like us to keep you informed about our Digitalising Manufacturing Conference - and to get first option on tickets when they go on sale, please email us at: digital@the-mtc.org

Conference Report 2015

Industry 4.0 - the digitising of the factory and supply chain and the introduction of intelligent automation - is set to be the biggest change in the manufacturing industry in a generation. Although most in the UK manufacturing sector are now familiar with the term, many manufacturers don't understand what Industry 4.0 actually means, its potential impact on industry in general and their business in particular. In 2015, our conference helped end users understand how to maximise the opportunities of digitalisation.
