Digitalising Manufacturing 2020
Reality Driving Digital
The MTC’s flagship Digitalising Manufacturing Conference is back for 2020 and will be taking place virtually and for free for the first time ever, on Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th October. There’s a sense of responsibility to support the manufacturing industry during the current, and upcoming, challenging times so we’ve taken the decision to make this year’s conference free of charge for anybody wishing to attend.
Digitalising Manufacturing Conference is the UK leading international annual gathering of manufacturing leaders in digital and aims to address the lessons learnt from the recent crisis whilst introducing delegates to new strategies to react in the short-term and emerging future opportunities to thrive in the long-term. The packed two-day conference will feature a number of insightful keynote presentations, educational workshops, and panel discussions with manufacturing experts from around the world – all supported by real manufacturing practical examples and case studies to learn from.

Introducing a Brand New Virtual Platform for 2020
For the first time ever the conference will be hosted virtually, using an interactive online platform, meaning you can join the event safely from anywhere in the world whilst still watching physical and digital demonstrators, interactive sessions and networking opportunities.
The new virtual online platform tickets are free! We’re pleased to be able to offer free ticket prices to ensure the conference reaches as many people as possible to help the manufacturing industry and businesses in need plan for the future in this challenging times. This year, delegate registration will grant full access to the entire event, including the live Q&A and our brand new clinic.
Inspiring Demonstrators, Educational Workshops and Interactive Networking
Following the huge success and positive feedback of the digital experience in 2019, you can now see a multitude of demonstrators across both days of the conference. The digital experience will also be aligned with the conference themes: agility, resilience and opportunity, showing real implementations that fit the current needs from manufacturers. You will also have the chance to participate a variety of workshops during the event, covering informative and helpful topics, including:
✓ AGILITY to adapt: Frictionless smart factories & transformation of workforce and culture
✓ RESILIENCE against disruption: Fast new products & fast reconfiguration, digitally pivoting
✓ OPPORTUNITIES while/for restructuring: Digital solutions made in UK & new business models in manufacturing
Brand New 1-to-1 Clinics
This year we introduce our 1-to-1 clinics, a new feature available to all delegates that offers tailored guidance and support for large manufacturers, supply-chain organisations and start-up companies. Hosted as separate rooms throughout the conference, you will have the opportunity to join 1-to-1 discussions with experts or small groups to discuss a variety of topics, including:
✓ Strategy development, creating a digital strategy and understanding technology
✓ Data readiness, identifying data, enabling connectivity and data engineering
✓ Practical advice on automation and robotics
✓ Digital product design and development
On Demand Content
Our virtual conference platform offers delegates complete freedom and flexibility with on demand access to all the conference material. Whether you wish to watch the conference again, or couldn’t make it to the live event, we’re offering free access to the entire conference agenda. Simply register for the event and we’ll send you a link shortly after the conference finishes.
