John Slinger MP
John Slinger Member of Parliament for Rugby

John Slinger MP

John Slinger is the Labour MP for the constituency of Rugby in the West Midlands. He was elected in the 2024 general election. He has spent much of his career in the private sector, working in a communications company. He is pro-business and advocates for increased skills development, better opportunities for young people, and the creation of highly skilled jobs in the constituency. He recently held a debate in Parliament on the benefits of automation and is engaged with a number of local businesses and manufacturers.

Keynote: Dr Bernd Liepert

Dr. Liepert earned his diploma in mathematics in 1990 from the University of Augsburg and his honorary doctor degree from University of Magdeburg in 2011. From February 1990 until June 2019 Dr. Liepert has worked in changing positions for KUKA. From 1990 to 1996 he worked as mathematician and developer at KUKA Schweissanlagen + Roboter GmbH before he took charge as head of development of the newly founded company KUKA Roboter GmbH until 1997.
