Creating an inclusive future
At MTC, we recognise that innovation flourishes when diverse perspectives come together. Our commitment to inclusion is embedded in every decision we make. From how we recruit and develop talent to how we celebrate achievements. We are building a workplace where differences are embraced, voices are heard, and opportunities are accessible to all.
What matters to us
People are at the heart of everything we do. Our culture is built on fairness, respect, and wellbeing, ensuring that every colleague feels supported and empowered. Inclusion is not a one-off initiative. It’s a mindset that shapes our everyday actions.
Our approach goes beyond compliance. It’s about creating a sense of belonging where everyone feels they can bring their whole selves to work.
We believe that:
- Fairness means equal access to opportunities and resources
- Wellbeing means creating an environment where people can thrive personally and professionally
- Respect means valuing every individual’s unique contribution

Our focus areas

Employee-led networks
Our employee-led networks, such as Women at MTC, ED&I Champions, and various cultural affinity groups, play a vital role in fostering an inclusive workplace. These networks provide safe and supportive spaces where colleagues can connect, share experiences, and advocate for positive change. They serve as a platform for open dialogue, helping us identify opportunities to improve policies and practices that reflect the diverse needs of our workforce. By empowering employees to lead these initiatives, we create a sense of belonging and community that strengthens collaboration and drives innovation across the organisation.

Celebrating success
We believe that diversity should not only be acknowledged but actively celebrated. That’s why we make it a priority to recognise achievements and cultural milestones throughout the year. From International Women’s Day and Pride Month to heritage celebrations and awareness campaigns, we ensure that these moments are visible and meaningful across our organisation. Through events, storytelling, and internal communications, we highlight the contributions of our people and the richness of their backgrounds. This commitment reinforces our values and demonstrates that inclusion is at the heart of everything we do.

Young people & outreach
We’re passionate about inspiring the next generation of innovators. Through STEM outreach, school partnerships, and apprenticeship programmes, we create pathways for young people from all backgrounds to explore careers in advanced manufacturing.
Our outreach initiatives aim to:
- Break down barriers to entry.
- Encourage underrepresented groups to pursue STEM careers.
- Build a diverse talent pipeline for the future.
