With 9 years at MTC and 12 years prior with the Manufacturing Advisory Service, Mark has extensive experience in advising SME manufacturers and engineering companies on productivity, efficiency and new technology implementation, coming from a background in commercial roles within the blue-chip chemical sector. Additionally, Mark serves as a STEM Ambassador and Enterprise Advisor for Merseyside Secondary Schools, and a School Career/Parent Governor. Applied Nutrition level up with MTC expertise and funding support
Applied Nutrition, an SME in Liverpool, sought MTC's help to expand their sports nutrition manufacturing. The MTC analysed production data and identified improvements in blending and filling operations and proposed decoupling blending from filling, using an intermediary hopper, and vacuum transfer for powders. These changes are projected to increase revenue per line by over 100%, optimising equipment utilisation and operational efficiency.
