My focus is on strengthening MTC as an engine for that innovation, connecting emerging technologies with the needs of industry and turning world-class research into production capability that strengthens UK supply chains and creates opportunities for growth.
Dr Katy Milne is Chief Research & Technology Officer at the Manufacturing Technology Centre. In previous roles Katy has been director for the transport portfolio at MTC, Programme Director for the Hydrogen Innovation Initiative at the High Value Manufacturing Catapult, Head of Industrial Strategy for the Aerospace Technology Institute’s FlyZero programme and Chief Engineer at the National Centre for Additive Manufacturing for a £14mn programme for UK aerospace. She established the Metrology & Non-destructive Testing group at MTC following an engineering doctorate at Rolls-Royce and Imperial College.
