The world’s first CAD/CAM manufacturing cell for automated production of wiring

The event is run in partnership with Q5D and offers the opportunity to see the world’s first CAD/CAM manufacturing cell for automated production of wiring.

Wiring, a crucial yet labour-intensive and costly part of manufacturing, is typically done by hand, causing inefficiencies and errors.

Q5D's Minimal Viable Product (MVP) features a 2.5-tonne robotic cell capable of automating wire deposition, conductive ink application, and additive manufacturing. This innovation could enhance productivity and cut costs significantly.

The current focus is on refining the software needed for seamless operation, aiming for broader usability and deployment in manufacturing settings.
